"Great location for exploring beautiful Lyon. I did find our initial arrival into the hotel a bit awkward. The hotel itself is located inside an apartment building so you have to communicate through a buzzer system, then heavy doors and lastly into a very small elevator or two flights of stairs. Not easy with luggage. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the room was certainly a good size. I did not realize there was no air conditioning and upon arrival the room was very warm. "We had a lovely stay at Charité! The hotel is basic but comfortable. Good mattress, powerful shower, effective air con and quiet rooms. Reception were super friendly (we spoke with 4 different individuals across our stay, all great) and the coffee was appreciated! The hotel was an excellent location for us and we walked most places. Would stay again!"

"our room didn’t have fridge, phone, coffeemaker, safe, microwave, cups, water or even a box of tissue, absolutely nothing! Only one single ugly picture and a tiny TV set were hung on the walls. I have never seen such an empty and dirty hotel room in my entire life, even in the third world! "

"Hotel a pochi minuti a piedi dal centro e vicinissimo alla metro. Camera molto spaziosa e pulita. Parcheggio convenzionato con l'hotel e a prezzo davvero conveniente. Molto utile la fontanella per riempire la borraccia con acqua fresca!!"

"The hotel is beautiful, the staff is welcoming and helpful, and it is perfectly located for walkable journeys in all directions. Vieux Lyon is close by. There are markets on both the Rhône and the Saône. You can see the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière from the hotel, and it’s situated right on Place Bellecour. "Loved the atmosphere. A small hotel, so more welcoming. Wonderful jazz band played in the restaurant 2 nights."

"The hotel communal areas are nice and stylish, the restaurant is good and there is the advantage of a pool. Very disappointed with the room which was apparently an executive double, however very basic. Literally a tiny space for clothes and you could not walk around the sofa bed without going sideways. There were 2 of us here for 4 nights and we really struggled with space. Would be fine for an overnight stay but not a trip of any more length."
