"The hotel was fine for a cheap family stay. It was absolutely crowded though. And breakfast was depleted when we arrived. Not even butter for toast or orange juice or cups for tea. It was holiday season and they were trying there best. The pool was full so we didn’t use and people were falling over as it was so wet. "We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Tulip on Guelis mountain near Bogor. The sight of the environment is fantastic. Staff was wonderful, more than professional. Really kind people glad to be of help. "First, we got a room with a noisy bathroom exhaust fan. We reported it and had to call many times and wait in total for almost 1 hour until someone arrive with a new fan. We asked for a new room because they will take some time to replace the fan and we wanted to take a shower soon. Why didn't they just offered us a new room from the beginning instead of making the guest waiting??? The new room is the same type on the upper floor. The bathroom has black moldy sealant on the bottom corners...

"Very nice hotel and excellent value for money. Stand was the service - front desk, cleaning, restaurant all so very helpful and spoke enough English to help me. We had a balcony room, which was a good space - not cramped, and also a good feel. Nice shower good air cond, and felt safe - also fairly quiet. Location was good - plenty of food and coffee options incl markets near and a ten minute walk up to the gardens. The only small criticism is the towels are getting a bit old but still work...

"Worst hotel experience we have had in Indonesia. Bath leaked on the floor, strong smell of sewer/sewer gas in bathroom and room, dirty crib mattress and crib. Dinner in restaurant was poor - we were the only customers and had to wait nearly an hour for food. Which was cold. Egg in soup was cold and undercooked. Breakfast was also bad. 30 minute wait for coffee. Half our food never came. Definitely would not ever return here. "
