"Wonderful hotel. From booking in the receptionist had a warm and welcoming smile. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and polite. The food was amazing. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and bar food the second which was good also. Will definitely be back. "

"Historic hotel with sea view. Our room was town facing. Nice and warm. Good WiFi. Comfortable bed. Inviting bath. Freeview TV. Pod coffee machine with lots of pods. Tea bags, coffee bags etc. Friendly atmosphere. As well as a good breakfast, we enjoyed a very good Sunday lunch at the hotel."

"This hotel is a characterful gem. Relaxed vibe. The guy running the hotel is very friendly and if you have any issue or request you can whatsapp him rather than going to reception, which I found super convenient. I wish more hotels did that! Tip: Buy bottled water for drinking as hot water mixes in with the cold tap. "

"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it. We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...

"Fantastic location. Really nicely decorated and has everything you needed. Comfortable bed, lush shower. Host was great, really accommodating, had thought of everything. So easy to get to bars,restaurants, shopping, train station etc, would highly recommend to anyone. We booked the smallest room,and it was perfectly fine as a place to sleep and shower. Excellent stay."

"The owner confirmed question before we arrived and was there to show us the room, letting us know breakfast time and aquantus us with the keys. "Room was cleaned to a high standard throughout our stay. my only drip is I was unable to reach the washbasins ( I am confined to a wheelchair) and could not get close enough either basin. Staff were always cheerful and very helpful. breakfast was plentiful and reasonably hot. we were able to watch the rabbits feeding."
