"Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and lovely to speak to throughout our short stay. The hotel is immaculately kept and tastefully furnished. Our room was spacious (family room with a queen bed and bunk beds for our 2 children was a dream for them) and had great amenities. Bathroom was clean and basic toiletries were supplied along with shaving and dental kits. Enjoyed our short stay and would highly recommned."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! The fact it has its own car park was also a plus although you could easily travel there by public transport due its close proximity to the bus and rail stations. "The room was very clean and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. We stayed just one night and had to leave early before breakfast was served, but we were provided with an excellent pack up with tea. Will definitely stay there again en route to ferry crossings."

"We were disappointed with check in. We arrived around noon and all the staff would tell us is our room is not ready til 3pm. Which was fine but they would not tell us the check in process and were quite rude. Grabbed our luggage and more of or less told us to get lost. Very surprising! I think they make more money by not releasing rooms even if they are ready til 3pm because guests hang around and spend money in the restaurant.
