"My husband and I spent a few nights here for our 10 year anniversary. The resort was great. We enjoyed being able to walk to everything we needed, the dining options, and the pool behind the spa. The river pool was a bit too crowded with children for us so we stayed away from that. The Mill was a great place for breakfast and lunch, and we enjoyed dinner at The James River Grille twice. "Pros - Super convenient to area attractions. Clean, quiet, private. AC, TV, and hot water all worked well. King sized bed was very comfy! Cons - The sleeper sofa bed was uncomfortable. The cold water in the bathroom sink only trickled, so we had to do everything, including brushing our teeth, with hot water. In all fairness, we didn’t explore all the resort had to offer. Our stay was short and our days were filled with other things. I would definitely return to this property for another...

"Check-in didn’t take too long despite only seeing one person at the front desk. Room was great—must’ve been redone recently. Parking was easy the entire time. Honestly, my only complaint is the refillable toiletries bottles that don’t have tamper-proof locks on them. Ewwww! "

I loved having multiple rooms, bathrooms, and a full kitchen. It truly felt like a home away from home and made it an easy trip with kids."
