"We stayed here twice due to problems with a flight. The first time was lovely apart from the pool being far too cold to swim in. They say it’s heated, but the other couple staying there went to another hotel to swim. The food is very good. However lunch is 200 Dirams, by far the most expensive we experienced during our three weeks in Morocco. "This was a good property. The lady who worked there was very nice. She walked with me quite a distance to show us where to park and she helped us with our luggage. Our room was ok but not great. It was a triple with a loft bed and two twins. the twins were too small for my large husband, so he had to climb the ladder to the loft Space wise it was a little tight. The bathroom was ok. The room was comfortable but not fancy at all, but had atmosphere. The price was reasonable."

"The hotel was not good. The towels were shockingly old, the pillows REALLY old and the rooms uncomfortable. The whole stay was uncomfortable and shockingly bad for the price they were charging. The service was incredible. Mohammed was amazing. But I feel the owners of Villa Daba whom we never saw must be overcharging and letting the hotel go into disarray. "A pearl in the Medina indeed. A wonderful room, facing the pounding Atlantic, with easy access to all of Essaouira. The breakfast was a great start to the day. My hamman and massage -- like my wife's pedicure and facial -- were refreshing, relaxing and effective. Add the amazing staff, and we'd come here anytime Essaouira calls."
