"When we arrived to our garden view room, we found that that side of the building was having major renovations done and there was scaffolding everywhere. Work was being carried out during the day. We immediately asked for another room as this was unacceptable. Neither Expedia nor the hotel or any travel sites had noted that renovations were in progress. The duty staff immediately responded and found us another room which we considered superior to the room we originally booked.
Our stay was fabulous. All amenities were top class. The hotel is well located, just outside of the centre of Bruges and its attractions. Everything is easily walkable.
So apart from the shaky start, this was overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Martin’s Relais to travelers visiting Bruges."
