"Not one single hotel employee knew the wifi password. It was awful! How do the employees who work there everyday not know that answer? Very bad. Perhaps I have been spoiled at other all-inclusive resorts but this place didn’t have good seafood options! Really it lacked variety from breakfast to lunch and lunch to dinner. I paid $300 to upgrade our room and it didn’t feel that fancy! My family is from Jamaica and while we were there visiting one of my family members got into an accident as they were bringing us back to thee resort after dinner in Montego Bay… the car was drivable but it was late at night…I wanted my aunt to be comfortable. So I got her a room at the same hotel. I checked her in around 1130pm Monday and checked out was Tuesday 11am. They charged me $576 for that room. The closest hotel was Riu and it was too far to drive. I know they swindled me bad. The room was not worth $576. I have another trip booked for my daughter’s 30th birthday at this hotel in July!!! I wish I could cancel it! I think you can get a better hotel for the money! I know you can. My family and I also had plans to visit in November for Thanksgiving booking 12 rooms total; I axed those plans the moment I checked out and we’ve now chosen a different hotel! The food and the employees lack of knowledge and the remote proximity to other cities makes this resort a 3 star max for me! If you are thinking about booking this hotel I would encourage you to explore options 1st"

"I had a really nice stay just a few days but the views was excellent, i was given a high floor room as i requested the room was spacious the bed was so so comfortable, my head literally sunk down in pillow, and the breakfast was so good , alone with the waiting staff, will definitely be back "

"So, we have stayed at many Riu properties and each time it’s been great. However, the Riu Reggae falls to the bottom of the Riu properties we’ve stayed at. To start we assumed they had room service like every other Riu we stayed at, but they didn’t. They didn’t replenish your fridge each day, it’s every other day which was strange. The property had plenty of lounge chairs, not one on the beach where the temp could get to 100+ so be prepared to get cooked badly on the beach. The buffet didn’t change their menu each night like most other Riu hotels. Not sure why, perhaps it’s just a lower end hotel, but these mentions were never an issue at any Riu we stayed at before. Now, I’m not saying it was terrible, it was just meh. The staff were very friendly and the Jamaican people as a whole were pretty awesome, but if any of those issues I mentioned would bother you, I’d recommend looking at another Riu property. This one has to catch up to the exemplary service we’ve received elsewhere."

"Check in process very unorganized with long lines. Room not ready at the 3pm check in time. Room shower needs a deep clean. Grout is black and brown. Beds are very firm. Bathrooms by pool area are not clean. No waiting staff in beach area or pool area. Resort lacked entertainment ands short staffed. Cat infested resort, cats on furniture In the common spaces. No alcohol being served before 10am and most bars close by 10 pm. Spa has ceilings falling down and holes in ceilings in the water areas. The manager refused to come to room to see the conditions of the bathroom. Sent a video that I will upload here and he noted “he doesn’t see anything wrong”. Definitely not a 5 star hotel!!! Only can get premium alcohol off you book privilege, which was falsely advertised. Food was just ok, Jamaican food was the best at the jerk hut and red snapper. A few good staff that we interacted with: Shameka from housekeeping, Ashdaine, Chevonne from check in, Courtney from bag services, Rocqel from Red Snapper"

"This was a perfect selection for our first trip to Jamaica. Beautiful infinity pool over looking the beach which you also have access to swim and snorkel. Restaurants available did not disappoint with variety of foods to offer. We were able to try all the local cuisine at the hotel "
