"Staff was the BEST part of our stay! Attentive & went above & beyond. We had an early flight and they still accommodated breakfast to go for us. Rooms were clean & bed was comfortable. Parking however can be limited and you may have to park on the street. However you can pull up to the main entrance to drop your luggage with the staff so you do not have to make the (very) short walk if you have to street park. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"We stayed in several hotels in our travel to the UK. This was my favorite hotel because I loved my room. I heard NO noise from the elevators (even though I was very close), or any other people. I enjoyed having a little kitchenette. While I didn't cook, I did store things in the refrigerator. I give the hotel 5 stars because of everything BUT the bed. The pillows were good, but the bed... "The Clayton has an excellent location within easy walking distance to Edinbourg's attractions, the Castle etc. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. As seems to be common in European hotels the room was small but still very comfortable. The bathroom while spotless and modern was very small and it was like a sauna after taking a shower which was quite uncomfortable. The hotel does not have any parking. It has a discount arrangement with a parking garage which was nice but...
