"This property is in the park and so you can get to the entrance by 6am when they open. The grounds are lovely as you are in the tropical forest. The first night we were there we heard howler monkeys close by and saw a Toucan (wild) and many birds. The hotel is supposedly run entirely on solar power, although that’s not something I could verify. But kudos to them. The room was very spacious for my son and I and so was the bathroom. When you get off the bridge go left and first tight into very narrow street and right again and you will see hotel straight ahead with blue columns. If you see parking on the street park. "I loved this stay. It’s located in the jungle of Tikal and you can watch monkeys climb in the trees while enjoying dinner in a place that feels like an adventure. The restaurant and facilities are very attractive and exciting. You are in the jungle so there are bugs and critters, but the hotel is clean and comfortable and feels like an archaeological expedition with a bar. "After the el mirador trek I stayed at hotel Santana and it was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent staff and the room was clean and beautiful with a great view. The restaurant below was very good also. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Very nice. "
