"El cedro soñado is a unique and beautiful location near Baños and Párate, Ecuador, the staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating, the location is one of a kind and the views and peaceful setting are the main drivers for visitors, that said it is not easy to get to since it takes between 35-40 minutes up a very steep mountain road, I personally enjoyed the drive, my other traveling companions not so much. Overall Cedro Soñado it's a great choice, just be aware what makes it unique also makes...

"Very BAD experience. After I have prepaid for my two days stay. upon arrival the hotel manager stated not having my reservation and been sold out. I literally had to sleep one night in the car. No other option was proposed, Hotels.com never answered the phone. I presented a claim hope they at least refund me, and it will be nice to hear an apology. Thanks."

"The breakfast menu was excellent. The waterfall view from the room was wonderful. It was also close enough to the waterfall to hear it. It makes sleeping pleasant. The bed was also very comfortable."

"Beautiful hostal with beautiful views. Very affordable. Friendly staff available at all hours. Delicious breakfast available for 4USD. While it is close to town, it is a steep uphill hike, so be ready, unless you’re driving, they have gated parking"

"It was a decent stay: hot water, clean rooms, right next to the market, and easy to catch a cab. We heard the area was a bit dangerous, but we didn't have any issues, and the hotel is locked up at night. The only issue is you have to ring the doorbell to be let in, and you can hear the buzz all throughout the hotel, so we were woken up multiple times."
