"Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy a stay at the Casa Grande. There is no road to the place, i.e. they have to pick you up by boat. I sent an e-mail, left two WhatsApp messages and tried calling 4 times, all to no avail. Even 2 days later I have not heard from them. I ended up in Parismina without any recourse to get to the place, and so I had to find a different accommodation there. Very unfortunate. If you can book this place in the morning for the evening, the resort must respond, otherwise...

"Location was perfect for spotting birds and doing short (10-30 minutes) drives to other good birding locations. We booked the room with balcony. The room was clean and the bed was good. Patrica is the lady that manages everything. She also cooked great meals for us. So please order the lunch and dinner also there. We are very happy and enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended!"

"I am so thrilled we booked two days here. I was not certain about it but it is such a beautiful location. The “newish” owners are so kind and welcoming. Armando, the everything guy, was our favorite CR person! He was so kind and helped with my rudimentary Spanish. My kids loved it here as well. It is not luxury, so if that is what you are looking for, this is not your place. If a great value and beautiful location and good food is what you are looking for, I highly recommend.
