"We booked this place for our 20th anniversary. Spent 5 nights. This resort is very clean and very well taken care off. The process of checking in was smooth, we did pre check online few days before to be able to book some dinner reservations. Upon check in they handed us a glass of prosecco and we went to the room. We had a pool view room, first ended up being right next to the quiet pool (as they called it - it's the pool in the back). We had some issues with warm water in one of the sinks and overall it was a handicapped room with two beds, so we did ask if they could move us to a regular room since we simply wanted a king size bed and a tub. The next day they moved us to one of their suites close to the beach. Lucky us LOL. Food in every restaurant there is amazing. There is plenty to choose from. All staff is very attentive and nice, room service is included and it's 24/7, minifridge is refilled each day. At the pool I got a coconut shell drink (that was $5) but worth it if you fill it up with some frozen pina colada and rum! The resort is beautiful and their entertainment is nonstop. It is a smaller resort, two pools, plenty to eat and drink. Beach is super nice, lots of shade due to so many palm trees. The water is not crystal blue because it is in a cove and there is a nearby river, so that is the only downside of this whole place. So we mostly swam in the pool but did hang out at the beach a lot. It was so realaxing. WE had a great time and would return again."

"We stayed here for 4 nights. Check in was smooth, but there was no toilet paper in the room when we arrived. Our room was upgraded to one with a splash pool. The beds were clean, bathroom mirror could have been a little cleaner. The pool and beach area were great, you just have to get up early to reserve chairs. You only get one towel per day which was annoying when it would get wet and you couldn’t swap it for a dry one. Pool was nice, but hot tubs weren’t warmer than the regular water. The pool bar was excellent. The bartenders were attentive and funny and made great drinks. Only complaint is that they would run out of a lot of ingredients (ex. Soda water). The snack bar had typical AI food (chicken, fries, pasta, pizza, salad, fruit). The fruit was great but the rest of the food could use some work. Ended up eating a lot of pasta and pizza. They only offered us one reservation at the restaurants for the entire stay, and we couldn’t book more. We ate at the Latin Fusion restaurant with 4 courses. It was better than the buffet food but not incredible. The buffet was disappointing. Lots of option but most of it lacked flavor and seemed to be sitting out too long to be safe. Once again, ate a lot of pasta and pizza. Breakfast was the best meal with fresh omelette and smoothies. The outdoor bar was also excellent at night to sit outside and play cards. Lots of mosquitos. Night entertainment was fun, but a little elementary. "

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. I would rate it 4-4.5 out of 5 stars. Staff was friendly enough, sometimes they might come off as dry but it might be a language barrier or cultural difference thing. Food was okay. I liked the local Dominican food best. Big waves which our family loved. "
