"Very beautiful 100 year old house, with period furnishings. It is very clean and the hostess was nice and helpful. It is walking distance to the town of Barre which has several dining options and nice downtown. The breakfast was excellent, made with local produce and ingredients. It is a great location as a base to visit different places in Vermont."

"Cant say enough amazing things about my stay at Mad River Lodge! The inn-keeper Dana was so kind and gave ideas for activities in the area and helped me get to my wedding when we had no ideas on how to get there. The whole experience was so personable, and I loved the shared space with a chess board, games, tea, and coffee!"

"We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very clean and had all the comforts of home. The gas-fired fireplace kept us warm and cozy. The location is beautiful with tall trees and mountains all around.
