"Room was clean but the beds were old. Not very comfortable, very hard. Bathroom needs updating. Toilet ran, needed adjustment in tank. Water controls in shower were loose from the wall. Ok for a night but wouldn't stay longer. Albeit it was in fall, but it was during the Celtics colours. I expect to have live music in the pub as it was the weekend. Very disappointed!"

"We needed to check in later than the usual hours. Staff was extremely helpful, and even walked us to our room, which we hadn't been able to find in the dark. Beautiful view from the windows."

"The view was great. The two bedroom cabin was clean, well maintained and had good amenities. The staff and service was amazing. Thee dining room and the complimentary breakfast provided lots of choices. Live evening music in the sitting area was a bonus. We used the laundry facilities and soap was supplied. We were glad to have chosen this location on our tour of the Maritime provinces, except for the issue noted below. One issue that caused a problem was that the distance between the...

"What a beautiful property! We had a very spacious room with a king room and a seating and kitchen area with a pull out sofa. We even had a real wood burning fireplace! We loved that. Would return if we were in the area."

"Staff are extremely nice and helpful, property is beautiful, but the physical interior of the hotel is really bad. Not only dated but things don’t work. TV didn’t work and when the TV was replaced we could only get three channels one of which rarely worked. Beds are broken down, very noisy and uncomfortable! Fixtures and furniture extremely dated and the plumbing didn’t work very well. Unless they update this property it’s not worth staying at."

"room clean"

"Amazing property for a family stay!"

"Good place to stay for one night, however furniture is outdated."

"The most amazing view from the property. Lonnie was super accommodating when we arrived and great to chat with."

"This was everything we hoped it would be. Unique, private, clean, well equipped as it should be and convenient to the North coast for all the beauty and wilderness it has to offer. Everything worked except for the weather which no one can control. When I come back to Cape Breton, I will be booking Blue Bayou again and well in advance since it will soon be a must for thousands of Cabot Trail visitors throughout the season."

"Beautiful clean room…. Wonderful bedding, comfortable bed. Room was small but for our purposes, very functional. Staff and location were great!"

"The room had a strange smell and the bed was uncomfortable"

"No microwave. Coffe maker too small. Loud air conditioning. "

"Loved the location and the staff"

"Nice property ,just next to Tim hortons and Gas station ."

"Our room was clean but on the small side. The included breakfast was meager, some bread and jam and cold cereal with coffee and orange juice. Dinner was not very good. As the price was fair for what we got I probably come back again"
