"Lovely hotel. In a fantastic location right by the entrance of Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Worth paying the extra for a room at the back looking out over the Maned Wolves and Lar Gibbons. We loved watching the animals from our room. Beds were comfy, shower was great and the toiletries smelt lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Was also a reasonable price unlike other zoo hotels which can cost £1000s. (We went midweek in September when the schools have...

"Staff very welcoming and informative. Helped with my VIP Expedia extra benefit drink, which was lovely and unexpected. Interior of the hotel is a beautiful thing to see. The rooms were clean, spacious and the biscuit selections in the rooms were on point. Parking was free and electric charging points were also free. Very happy to recommend and stay again if I’m in the area"

"Another amazing stay at Ye Old bell ❤️"

"Always great breakfast"

"Room was clean and comfortable, although there was nowhere to hang coats/clothes (there was no hanging rail). The pedestrian route to the restaurant was a bit dark in places. Generally a good overall stay."

"Well maintained hotel, spacious room and breakfast included which always helps"

"Despite the large rooms, the hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The beds are overdue to be replaced. Lots of piling on them and they didn’t have a fitted sheet. You could feel the bumps of the older mattress through the sheet that was on top of the bed. The sheet on top of the bed didn’t cover the entire mattress. It would roll up and expose the mattress in the night. I had to constantly get out of bed and pull it back over the bare worn mattress. Very poor lighting in the room and...

"Friendly staff, good pub attached with good food. Breakfast was tasty but did take a while to arrive (30mins). Room was clean, but tired and in need of some repairs (bathroom doorframe and main light fittings). Good place for an overnight stop."

"Ideal for what we wanted. Breakfast was really good too."

"A warm and friendly welcome. Nice to stroll in the grounds. Room was comfortable and quiet. Dario's Italian restaurant was excellent and a short walk away."

"Affordable convenient hotel. Lovely staff. Clean rooms."

"Room was pleasant and ensuite was a bonus. Kind and helpful locals in bar. Breakfast not available which was disappointing. Would have liked a bedside lamp to read by."

"Great little room for an overnight stay. Would have been better if the restaurant was open earlier but it’s close enough to the shopping area. More like a motel, parking right outside the room. Would definitely stay again."
