"When we checked in and went to our room it was evident there were children in the room above us. Why some parents can't understand that in hotels the floor of their room is the ceiling of the room below!!! PLEASE DON'T LET YOUR KIDS RUN RAMPANT BACK AND FORTH! We went to the front desk and politely asked for a change of rooms to a top floor, and advised the staff of WHY we needed a different room. And to hotel staff, if you know the folks signing in have little kids, put them in a ground floor...

"Looks a little tired from the outside but the room was fine and clean. One note about the area is there is very limited dining choices, onky 2 real options and neither very good"

"My main complaints are how difficult it was to open the windows in the room to let in fresh air. The room smelled like someone had smoked in it. Also the lights outside the room and in the parking lot were obnoxiously bright"

"So happy I found this lodge on Expedia, we needed a place to stay for the night before we head to New Mexico. Staff was very friendly and recommendations for places to eat, room was extremely clean and beds were comfy. We would stay here again"

"Had to wait several (long) minutes for someone to come to the front desk after bell was rung. Located on the Interstate 40 frontage rd so it was very noisy with traffic driving by all night. Breakfast was not good at all (powdered eggs). Coffee was VERY weak and they ran out of liquid creamer and coffee stirrers an hour into breakfast."

"This property is mediocre. The breakfast is tolerable, no more. Interesting enough, there is a restroom in the food area. That is very strange. No kitchen or prep area that I saw. Don't expect any service even trash pickup unless you are staying a minimum of three nights. Save your towels, you will need them. I expect you can do better for the money in Show Low."

"Our room was clean and appeared to be updated. Everything was well cared for, the front and breakfast staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was fresh, with a variety of foods. Parking was easy. I would highly recommend The Holiday Inn Express. It’s excellent! "

"Room 111 smelled so terrible we tried to air it out by leaving the door open and blasting the AC . Didn’t help at all. We checked in so late and being on the road all day we didn’t want to try and argue about the room or go look for another place to stay. We just made do for the remaining early morning by sleeping. Mention to the guy at the desk the problems and left it at that."

"The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The inn was currently under renovation during our stay, so there was some construction noise and inconvenience in the parking lot since many of the spaces near our room where taken by the vehicles of construction workers. Our room had been renovated and was nice overall. It was well laid out and we really liked the low lying motion detection lights near the floor for night time movement. The only thing wrong with the room...
