"We think there was a misunderstanding when we booked through Expedia. We thought the place where we would be staying was located inside the Poland Spring Resort, but upon arrival we realized we were staying in a motel right by the road instead, not in the main resort area. We were not very happy about this, although we did not want to raise any complaints with the lady at the reception, who was very kind and tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible, and it was not her fault. I stayed on a floor that the ice machine was broken but I was able to travel to another floor to get ice. "

"We checked in to find bugs in our room crawling all over the entertainment center. We notified the front desk and we check out right away. We were told we would have too wait till monday for see if we could get a refund. Also left us having too put out more money for another place to stay."

"The fire alarm went off the night we stayed because someone was smoking in their room. They let us back in after a little bit we finally got settled into bed around 11pm and they went off again (to reset the system which would have been nice if they called the rooms to let people know it was going to go off again) Since we didn't know that my kids woke back up scared. The redeeming quality in all this experience was the Overnight manager. She was very calm and kind and settled us all down...

First room had Hornet nest on bedroom wall inside; 2nd room locked out, battery low on keypad that no one knew how to replace!! Had to leave... manager rarely available to talk to about problems. 2 months later finally got an answer & credit. Terrible experience!"
