"We found stuff from someone else's stay under one of the beds, which made me question cleanliness. Also, we were disappointed to find there is no elevator, as we are both disabled."

"The lady at the front desk was super nice when we checked in, so our first impression was good. And, it could have stayed that way if there wasn't a pile of dirt in both corners by the dresser in our room. Clearly, the room had just been marginally/incompletely swept and never mopped. It just gave us a yuck impression although the sheets seemed clean. The grounds were just weeds and cigarette butts. Stayed around 4th of July so were subject to FOX "news" in the breakfast room telling us...

"This hotel was pretty nice looking. There is only one washer and dryer though, the dryer needed two cycles. Also, the staff was "out" of quarters even though the literature says they will give you some and they said the convenience store down the street would have some. Way to annoy your fellow businesses with poor prior planning (and they were annoyed). Constantly out of pool towels. Had to ask for tissues and shampoo that were completely gone before we got there, and cleaners kept leaving...

"The staff was helpful, and the room was clean and useful, just like you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express."

"Rooms need gutted and redone. Room was in very poor condition bathroom especially. Lots of paint chips, blood stain, broken lamp shade, tiny pillows. Very unpleasant wouldn’t recommend"

"This was the worst best western I’ve ever stayed at. The beds were uncomfortable and the air conditioning unit made so much noise it was difficult to sleep. The pool was heated to an uncomfortably warm temperature and the pool room was excessively humid. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and helped in resolving an issue that was not theirs to resolve, so I appreciate the staff for sure. This property is in dire need of upgrades, or to call it what it is and adjust the price...

"Very clean motel remodel. Minimal and modest room. Staff were very kind, bed was comfortable, and easy access from Montrose's Main St. Would definitely recommend ear plugs for those with sensitivity to sound. Comfortable and convenient."

"Not recommended to stay here during summer months. The only airflow is from having windows open but there aren’t any screens on them so bugs come in. The house has lots of character but feels unattended to, lots of spider webs and spiders and the bathroom had hair all over the ground and shower. There was also an open area in the bathroom wall which allowed clear visibility from the upstairs looking down into the bathroom (shower entrance) area. That was very uncomfortable and we recommended...

"Towels were old and stained. Water temps in the shower would not stay consistent."

"Property should technically be condemned. Can’t believe this is allowed to operate under the TravelLodge or Wyndham name. It’s more like a low income or homeless housing. Sheets were stained and room didn’t feel clean. Flies were rampant in the room. Bed was uncomfortable. Walls are paper thin and everything going on in adjacent rooms can be heard making it almost impossible to sleep."

"Pros: Enjoyed a cocktail at the reception desk, a really nice experience after a long drive. Nice location, easy walking distance to town. Good Mexican food at Felix’s. Mattress, towels, linens, soap, shampoo etc all high-quality. Great light but satisfying breakfast: yogurt parfait, good coffee. Cons: Receptionist was efficient though not terribly friendly. Air conditioner was noisy enough that it affected our sleep. It’s something I mentioned to the owners via a text that they never responded...

"Obviously the owners take great pride in their establishment. It was a joy to stay there."
