Dean Village,meaning deep valley, is a former village and was the centre of grain milling area for more than 800 years.
🌳It was a separate village until 19th century when it became part of Edinburgh.
🌳You should definitely visit The Water of Leith walkway which follows the river Balerno,at the foot of the Pentland Hills,to the sea at Leith.

The room was spotless and inviting. The bed was very comfortable. I honestly could find no fault. We had lunch in the Grand restaurant and the French onion soup is to die for. I am disabled and travel with a mobility scooter. There was a young man, I believe his name is Oliver. He was such a delight and very helpful. He helped us with getting an uber and event assisted us on our walk to the car. He smiled and was just lovely. Also, I cannot remember her name, but there was a lovely Irish lass who walked with me to the elevator and outside to get my train. Just an absolutely delightful stay. Really enjoyed the Regency experience also.

Wonderful location in the New Town, quiet part of the city, lovely character building . Plenty of nice bars and restaurants nearby. Short walk to the more touristy spots. Staff were very helpful with any requests. Rooms were cosy.
