"Lovely hotel, our room was great and breakfast fantastic. Didn’t use the pool, fitness centre or spa so can’t comment but they looked nice. Did do a 7km walk run on one of the recommended routes around the hotel which was very scenic. We’ll definitely return when the build is finished and new restaurant is open."

"Hotel was located in a beautiful setting. There was ample free parking. Good choice of breakfast items. We also ate in the restaurant both evenings. The food was delicious. The bar area was cosy. Room was spacious with everything we required. We had to turn the radiators off though as room was far to hot for me. Not a bad point just personal preference, it was great to have the choice of hot or cold room though. We had a dog friendly room and thought it was great my dog could accompany me in...

"Room, breakfast and service all very good. Site difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area. Using the postcode in the sat nav wasn't a good idea, better to use the signs for the forbidden corner which is on the same site."

"We had a 1 night stay while attending a nearby festival, but wish we'd stayed longer. The most wonderful staff, particularly Mandy on Reception who was super friendly and helpful. 11 out of 10! In addition, the bed had a very comfortable mattress, the rooms had lovely views, the location was great just off the A1. We had a drink on the terrace in the sunshine and enjoyed everything this hotel had to offer. Recommend!"
