"Some places are lovely to visit; others make you start planning your return before you’ve even left. CASA Collibri was that kind of place for us. Tucked away in the beautiful village of Juticalpa, it’s a hidden treasure that deserves a wholehearted 10 out of 10. The gardens were a highlight of our stay. Fruit trees, beautiful orchids, and exotic flowers I’d never seen before made wandering through them a pleasure. Add in the butterflies and hummingbirds, and there was always something that made us stop and take a closer look. Just as memorable was the husband-and-wife team who hosted us. They were genuinely kind, welcoming, and so helpful. Everything was clean, and we had everything we needed, but their warmth made the experience feel special. I especially loved picking fresh chilies from their garden to cook with. The hosts also kindly gave me fresh papaya from their trees, avocados, and a wonderful green drink made with fresh cactus, mother-in-law’s tongue, and fresh lime—all straight from the garden. Getting to enjoy what they grow made the experience even more special. It’s clear they’ve put so much care into CASA Collibri, and they’re still adding to it. I can’t wait to return—not just to see what’s new, but to enjoy it all again. We had a wonderful stay, and I’m so glad we found this place."

"An exceptional family stay in Roatán! My family and I had a wonderful stay at Laru Beya Palmetto Bay. The house was beautiful, very spacious, and spotless. Everyone had room to feel comfortable, and we loved coming back to relax together after our adventures around the island. We went scuba diving and snorkeling several times during our trip and spent time exploring Roatán and enjoying its incredible natural beauty. Having such a lovely home to return to made the experience even better. The hospitality and communication were excellent. We felt well taken care of, and the helpful information and recommendations from our hosts were much appreciated. Their attention made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We left with wonderful family memories and would happily stay here again. If you’re looking for a beautiful, comfortable home for a family vacation in Roatán, we highly recommend Laru Beya Palmetto Bay. Thank you for helping make our trip so special!"

"Las Verandas was a great choice. The room was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful balcony and the food was delicious! The grounds are very well maintained and the ground around the pools never gets hot. The concierge was very helpful, booking us a snorkeling trip and providing other helpful information. The one downfall (no fault of Las Verandas) was the no-see-ums, so bring bug spray and use it!"

"Beautiful villa stay in Roatan — we’d come back We stayed in a beautiful villa in Roatan and loved the setting from the moment we arrived. Having the pool right outside the door and an ocean view made every morning and evening feel special. It’s the kind of place you actually use, not just photograph. Staff were very accommodating throughout the stay and made things easy. The on-site dive operation was a huge plus — super convenient not to have to leave the property. The dive masters and captains were wonderful: professional, friendly, and clearly know these waters. The gym was another highlight. We loved how close it was and how well it was equipped. Easy to stay consistent without disrupting the rest of the trip. The restaurant is expensive, so we were more selective there and mixed in other options. That was the only real drawback. Overall it was an easy, well-run stay with the views, pool, diving, and gym all working in our favor. We would definitely come back."

"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."
