"Absolute GEM in the perfect location next to all the things! The view of the castle was worth every penny. The staff was extremely friendly and fast to help with anything. The hotel itself was beautiful, so clean and well decorated. I will stay here anytime I come back to Scotland and would recommend friends and family to stay as well. "

"It is excellent place for a family toncook wash clothes dishes etc. Also front office staff are ever obliging in giving as much refills for coffee powder, sugar, milk, cookies, detergents etc. Kitchen has all accessories for a family to cook, eat and enjoy the stay. There is an ironing pad, iron, hair dryer, clothes stand for drying xlothes despite washing machine and a dryer. Will stay again in the same property in my next stay."

"Such a convenient location and a beautiful building right off the royal mile. It was the perfect base camp for exploring Edinburgh in August during Fringe AND the Tattoo. I'll absolutely stay here again. Some of the winding hallways will have you feeling like you're in Harry Potter with the moving staircases though, but it was just the standard character that all the older buildings there have and is in no way a drawback, just a fun experience we weren't expecting. "

The only time we took any sort of transportation was to/from the airport and the bus for our tour. We happily walked everywhere during our stay because the location was really that exceptional.
