"Good location to visit surrounding areas. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and a standard cabin for 2 nights. Comfortable room sizes. Pool could use couple more chairs or loungers for guests to use. Landscaping opportunities around the property to alleviate less mud build-up might want to be considered. Easy check-in, check out. Suggest pack food, or have a set of wheels to get to the few available restaurants."

Heritage Lodge

"A very nice cabin in the middle of the rainforest. If you want to get close to nature, this is the place. Mixed reviews on the staff. Not quite friendly and somewhat condescending. The food at the restaurant was good but quite overpriced. $36 and up for an entrée."

"My search through Expedia was for self contained, disability friendly so I was disappointed I had not checked this on booking. Being able to hear noises from neighbors through the wall was uncomfortable. There was room in the unit for a small settee or another chair to make comfortable seating for two people which would have made for a nicer stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Peppers. Our room was clean and spacious. The pool area was lovely, but it was not a heated pool so a little cold to go into in July. Breakfast was okay. A good variety of options and fried eggs can be cooked to order. Cleaning of our room during our stay could’ve been better. It was really only a service to change towels, make the bed and empty bins. Floors weren’t cleaned during our 4 night stay which was a bit disappointing. Location of the hotel is fantastic! An easy walk to the centre where food, shops and restaurants are. We will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends!"

"This property is spacious and nicely located along the 4 Mile Beach, but it is not easily walkable to the town nor any restaurants nearby. The facilities/pools seemed like they could use a deep cleaning although our room seemed to be updated and clean. The restaurants on site are quite good."

"Outstanding in every way. Welcoming, clean, spacious, light-filled accommodation (we stayed in one of the one-bedroom villas). Super-comfortable bed; great shower. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Stunning tropical grounds. Easy 10-minute walk to Four Mile Beach and the Barrier Reef Tavern (try the smoked crocodile croquettes). We hired a car so it was only a quick trip in to town. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful hosts, clearly committed to fulfilling the best experience for guests.
