Our room could probably do with an update, but it was clean, spacious, and had a great view. Breakfast was very nice with a great choice of hot drinks and huices as well as both a cold selection buffet, and a cooked breakfast option, all included in our booking. Overall we were vey happy with our stay."

Though on a main road (A275) it is a quiet, unpretentious and old country pub between a couple of other houses (one a former smithy) with convenient parking and an outside sitting/eating area behind, as well as 'bistro' style eating in the large downstairs bar, with a good selection of beers etc. The room and bathroom were simple and spotless,with fine quality towels and bed linen.
