"Really lovely hotel. A lovely mix of modern and art deco. The room was spacious and very comfortable. It was a little noisy from the restaurant downstairs, but next time we'll just ask for a room in a different spot. The staff were lovely, especially those in the bar/restaurant. "

"Great place to stay. We were going to a concert In Brighton and this was an ideal place to stay. Staff were helpful about local area, amenities and getting to and from Brighton. Room is simple but perfect for what we needed. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious. Plenty of choice, happy to accommodate special dietary requirements. Highly recommend. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at White Horses. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The decor was beautiful. The location was gorgeous and having a view of the sea was wonderful. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent and very tasty! I would recommend this place to others. Thankful for the pleasant and relaxing experience we had there! It was clean, and charming. "

"Ideally situated for an overnight stay if walking the South Downs Way. Excellent Sunday lunch - we could understand why it was popular! The Landlord was very helpful in providing the best route to re join the South Downs Way the following morning. Unfortunately the nearby cafes were not open for breakfast on Monday - The Green Welly doesn't open and The Nutmeg doesn't open on Bank holidays! We resorted to buying two baguettes from The White Lion and having them for breakfast and lunch!"

"Lovely welcoming staff, spacious room with sea view, fab evening meal and veggie breakfast, nothing too much trouble. Super, friendly seaside town with interesting features like museum on the seafront and theatre. Bracing walk on the front before breakfast. Daughter & I loved our stay! "

"Super stay as a half way point from Wimbledon to the coast on bikes with kids. Excellent, spacious family room. Right on the Down’s link. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere on a sunny afternoon. Gastro pub, although we felt that the standard of the food could be improved a little. Overall though an enjoyable stay. "

"Windows need attention. Room window was made of wood and was in poor condition. Had to be physically forced open due to warping. Fittings on window loose. Room in general was good."

"Lovely country hotel with beautiful gardens and pool. We had a very comfortable 'Superior double' room on the ground floor with access to a patio area. We were in a party of 10 celebrating a friendship of 50 years duration and used the private dining area. The breakfast and dining was very reasonably priced and good and the junior staff were exceptional, however the senior staff we encountered were less welcoming. The bar closed very early (10 pm the first night and 10:30 on Saturday night) and...

"Little place to stay. Good location to reach Box hill and Dorking. Friendly staff, locals are dining. Standard room (Epsom) has view to the roofs/inner yard/other houses, so I suggest to get better room for the view to the church. Default selection for Breakfasts. "
