"Nice place for a stop. Grandkids liked the waterside. It was great the pool had extended hours as we checked in after 7 pm and they still had time to swim. Breakfast was good, standard hotel breakfast. Waffles, cereal, toast, eggs, sausage, yogurt. Staff was very friendly, "

"The unit we stayed in was a one bedroom apt with an extra wall bed in the separate living room area. It had a fully equipped kitchen with a kitchen stove/oven, full-sized refrigerator/freezer and a dishwasher. Dishes, silverware, knife ware, etc. Great view of the “mountains. 25 minutes from Grand Marais."

"First time staying would definitely stay again. The drive there was beautiful coming from Duluth. In the rooms there was art on the walls you could purchase I thought that was a very neat idea. "

"I can not say enough positive things about this hotel! Monica and all of the staff were very accommodating! Yes, it’s older. It’s actually the oldest hotel in Grand Marais. If you are looking for a cozy place to rest your head after exploring the city or hiking the beautiful trails this is the place! Comfy bed, great views of the lake! (Make sure to request a lake facing room) Right dead center of the town, very walkable location! "
