"The best location. The property feels like 500 year old charm for royalty, but with modern amenities. 3 prior doges called this place home before the Ruzzini family purchased it 300 years ago. Location is perfect. You get dropped off by one of those water taxis to the front of the hotel. Just outside the hotel is a large square, with a guy selling fresh fruits and vegetables every morning. There’s a small cafe/coffee shop just outside, and there’s a gelato shop within a 1 minute walk with mochi ice cream that was probably the best we’ve had in Italy. The Doge palace and St Mark Basilica is a 9 minute walk. There is a Japanese ramen noodle place within a 5 minute walk, and our favorite to-go pasta place (Pasta & Pasta) about 5 minutes away. I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice for the first time. "

"wonderful hotel in a quiet corner, close to many things and far enough away from the crazy we enjoyed the old classic style of the hotel amd thought it was perfect for what it was breakfast included and very pleasant staff also offered airport pick up and drop off at train station (for a hefty price) worth it "
