"We really enjoyed The Royal George Birdlip. Beds were comfortable and the food was delicious from the restaurant. Also, great location within short driving distance to the Cotswolds and many other local attractions."

"Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was ok and no changes in breakfast menu next day as well. They keep same food items. Men’s changing room near pool was stinking with foul smell. Sauna size is too small as compared to hotel size."

"The room was a great size and staff were helpful.The spa area, sauna and steam rooms were tired, dated and need of maintenance. Breakfast was good. Just as suggestion to allow pets in the main area and make the smaller area for families with small children."

"The staff was absolutely amazing. When I was lost at midnight, I called Corinne and she talked me through step by step directions. The breakfast staff was absolutely incredible:friendly, fun, and super helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the porridge was the best I’ve ever had. If I could improve one thing, it would be that our bed was very hard, but that could be easily remedied with a pillow top mattress pad. This hotel was perfect for a stay in the Cotswolds!"

"Lovely serene location near the canal and river (might get busy when the weather is good)..Lovely traditional spacious and comfortable rooms, in good clean condition. Communication before arrival excellent. We weren't able to use the spa bath as the plumbing currently needs re-doing to prevent leaks and there is no shelf to put the toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast isn't available at the restaurant currently but there is Toby Carvery or the cafe at Over Farm next door. Location is...

"Absolutely loved our stay. So much so we are planning our next visit back to the property"

"The room itself was uncomfortably small and made worse by poor design. The room had a wall through it with a long narrow area at one side which was of no practical use except to house all the powerpoints, thus making it impossible to use electrical devices in the main part of the room. Despite the excessive heat the room had not been cooled and we were given a fan which when plugged in would not stretch into the bed area. All in all an uncomfortable stay."
