Very friendly staff. Made a fuss of us on our anniversary with complementary Prosecco and mini dessert. Meal was excellent. Room clean and comfortable. Very convenient for our visits to Great Dixter gardens and to Scotney Castle the day after.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room was very damp - would not recommend staying on the lower floor. Pub was lovely and good was fabulous.
The food was excellent and the room we stayed in (room 12) was in excellent condition. The staff couldn't do more to ensure our stay was a pleasant experience. They were all cheerful and anxious to please. We were especially grateful to Sharon who was a credit to the management team. We would happily return to this hotel in the future.
Lovely room and location and the staff were all brilliant.
Only downside was that our room was directly over the bar so was quite noisy from that and we could hear very loud talking from neighbouring room until gone midnight each night…just unlucky with who was in next room I guess. Not hotels fault, but if you want early night then maybe a different room further from the bar would be better.
Highly recommend this b&b. Mattress was on the soft side for me, but other than that, it was lovely. Room was clean, breakfast was fantastic quality with lots of choice. Ate dinner here too, food was cooked very well, including the steak. Location great too. Although on a main road, there was minimal traffic noise. Shower was awesome, with plenty of hot water. Staff were attentive, friendly and polite. If I am visiting this area again, I wouldnt hesitate to come back. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
We were welcomed by friendly staff and shown to our room. Attention to detail was high.
Sat out the front of the hotel for drinks in the sunshine. We didn’t need to leave our seats! The staff were very attentive, noticed when we were empty and brought our drinks out to us. Perfect!
Food was brilliant.
The breakfast was the best ever!
Would recommend.
The rooms were very well presented with everything you need, food was amazing and good choice of fresh produce. The staff were excellent, very attentive and welcoming
Absolute gem of a hotel, small enough to feel very personal, superb food and spotless, very comfortable rooms. Special shout out to Katie who was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
A beautiful room which was very comfortable. The bath was amazing and much needed after a very rainy day! Great amenities in the room. Friendly staff, food was excellent, dinner and breakfast. Good location for exploring by car or walking around. Recommend.
A very pleasant stay . Nice atmosphere everybody was very helpful.room very comfortable .area around queens hotel very nice .lovely places to see and visit overall could not bee much better hotel .thanks for all the staff who were very friendly
Thank for a lovely stay and would gladly go again
Very good all round. Really enjoyable stay, great breakfast, clean room, excellent service throughout.
A very good location for visiting local gardens.
We were after a few days away in a pretty country setting not too far from London and The Queen’s Inn fit the bill perfectly.
Despite the building being 16th century it is bright and very well kept. Our room was upgraded so we had a very spacious room with a comfy super king bed. The feel is cozy rather than contemporary but not dated as some of the reviews suggest. The bathroom was modern.
From arrival to departure the service was friendly and excellent (including at breakfast and dinner). We were really made to feel like valued customers. Even though we were on there a couple of days the staff remembered how we took our coffee, which was a nice touch.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, you could have a cooked and continental breakfast. The coffee at the Inn is of independent café quality, so you can feel confident ordering espressos, etc.
Dinner was so good we ate there both nights. Gastropub food which caters to everyone (locals, city types, vegans, traditional eaters, etc.) and is reasonably priced. The food was tasty and wonderfully presented, the restaurant had a great atmosphere (whichever room we were in) and the service impeccable.
The building/setting is beautiful and there are all the necessary amenities you need in the village. The Inn is also a 15-20’ drive to Bodiam, Rye and Winchelsea, which are all worth a visit.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Queen’s Inn and would certainly visit again.
A very nice OLD Inn, dating from 1561 but beautifully updated to fit in the 21st century. Still with many of the wooden beams visible. The bedrooms are fairly small but well fitted out with comfortable beds. Stairs to the upper floor are rather narrow but (automatically) well lit.Good food for both the evening meal and breakfast. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The only very minor fault is that there is very little surface on which to place things in the bathrrom - use the window sill !
