"Nice room with balcony and distant sea view. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to enjoy some of the facilities on offer. Bathroom was pretty good with a shower over the bath. Controls were a little stiff and difficult, not at all intuitive to use but there was plenty of hot water. Bed was on the hard side but comfortable enough. My only complaint would be the distance between the bed and the wall making it difficult to get out, particularly at night. Not helped by the large picture...

A wonderful old building so there are some oddly shaped corridors as you'd expect but they only add charm to what is already a fabulous location and venue. "Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that."

"Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower.
