"The Craiglynne Hotel has a lovely exterior and attractive grounds, which gave us a positive first impression. Unfortunately, the inside of the hotel did not live up to that impression. The property felt tired and not particularly well maintained. My room had extremely squeaky floors, and I could clearly hear movement from neighboring rooms, making it difficult to relax. My mother-in-law’s room had a broken shower door, and after we left, she mentioned that her bed sheets appeared dirty....

"The Cairn Hotel is a lovely hotel in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff throughout my stay. Whilst my room wasn’t en-suite, my private toilet was 2 steps across the corridor - not big deal, but remember your key otherwise you're locked out of your room Dinner was excellent from a well appointed menu, I had the haggis lasagne which was very well presented, generously portioned, and served efficiently. "Nice hotel. If you want a tv you need to have a room on the second floor but who needs a tv nowadays when there is WiFi. Very comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom."
