"Overall this was a great location directly across the street from Cardiff Castle. It was frantic because of the annual half-marathon attended by 29000 people (which we were not aware of at the time of booking) and the lifts were broken, but the front desk staff were extremely helpful. The room was large and everything worked as it should, but the rooms are showing their age a bit. They needed more staff at dinner but food was quite good."

"Lovely clean room, satnav found location but there were shrubs over the brown sign so it took us a little while to find the accommodation. Key lock Box worked well giving us flexibility for check in."

"The reception staff were outstanding. They went to great lengths to ensure our rooms were close to each other. All the staff were really kind and friendly and took great care of us. "We had an amazing time staying at Allercott Farm. The cottage was beautiful, cosy and very peaceful at night, and you’re right in the middle of Exmoor so you can drive for around 20 minutes any way at all and find yourself at one of the many walks. Hosts were awfully lovely, as were their several friendly dogs who were keen to say hello. We’d absolutely consider staying again sometime to visit more of the national park. 😊"
