"A large modern hotel on the East side of the village with a lovely harbor view, nice outdoor pool ( chilly in early April) and indoor pool and gym. The breakfast is great. Ask for a sea view room. There are several inexpensive decent restaurants just down the street from the Hotel the Vila Velha being the best (more expensive). Walk out on the undeveloped rocky point to big cliffs overlooking the sea and have a picnic. "

"The name of this property is misleading as it is not a golf resort that you envision. The dream of the golf resort did not come to fruition and now the resort is selling off the units so the priority is sales and not short term stays. The units are large and clean. However, there is no air conditioning and no mosquito nets on the windows and doors. They do provide you with a fan which made the stay bearable. They also were kind enough to provide fresh bread every day. We included breakfast...
