"Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. Everything has been perfectly considered - design and integration of technology (most notably the lighting and sound systems). "The view was amazing and staff were very friendly. I did not realize that the rooms did not have A/C, so things were hot the first night (reception closed at 8:00), but they were able to get me another fan the second night l, which made things better. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay which included access to a local swimming hole which was very refreshing. The restaurant was the most expensive meal we had in Costa Rica and to be honest, the food was not bad, but not good. Definitely...

"We had an amazing stay in our little jungle villa. The staff are so wonderful. The food was amazing. We were able to see macaws and monkeys while swimming in the pool. We appreciated such a friendly atmosphere. It was like being home away from home. Would definitely recommend this place to others and stay again ourselves! "

"The hotel is perched on a mountain side overlooking the Whales Tale of Uvita. There is an animal preserve within walking distance that provided an excellent opportunity to learn about Costa Rica's incredible animal life. The staff were wonderful - always smiling and willing to assist in any way."

"I have stayed in some beautiful hotels in the world. The golden pinapple is up there with the best. The views from our sunset villa were incredible, the villa itself was amazing and had all the amenities we could have asked for. Just to confirm, you do need a 4x4 to access the property."
