"The room appeared clean but unfortunately there was a used tissue on the window sill. Unfortunately, although the bathroom seemed ok when we first walked in, the shower unit was not good at all. There was mould on the grouting and the shower door seals were encrusted with limescale. The whole thing was unappealing. The restaurant delivered food of a good quality - well done to the chef for cooking scallops beautifully. The staff appeared to be inexperienced with one or two exceptions - they were competent and helpful but needed prompting to provide items such as a steak knife etc. Also given mustard that needed its seal removing - small things that added up. Overall, a nice stay but a multitude of small things meant it could have been better."

"Nice room. Not overly big and lacking air con but perfectly adequate. Staff very helpful. Excellent breakfast. Dinner fair to middling. Very geared towards spa folk which if youโre not one makes it feel a bit odd. Quite a mix of people old and young and facilities. Overall decent hotel."

"The hotel is lovely and in a great location, we have stayed many times. The staff are friendly and helpful, on the whole. Could do with more fans in the rooms - one just wasnโt enough with the current heatwave. Breakfast was very tasty and the range of breakfast choice is really impressive."

"We loved this hotel. Really modern, gym and pool were really good and well kitted out. The roomm, albeit a bit small, was really comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. We would definitely stay in a village hotel again. Only issue we had was the coffee machine had mould in the bottom of the water tank which was really not acceptable. But they have advised this has now been sorted."
