"This review is for the Great Sand Dunes LODGE
Pros: Newly remodeled bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. Microwave, frig, and TV in room worked.
Cons: Sliding doors hard to slide and lock. Slider screen was ripped. Wife questioned whether bed linens were fresh. Breakfast is light (packaged muffins, packaged juice, cereal). No other food available. (Make sure you bring your own food.)
Office was closed from 7 pm to 8 am. For $220/night this place is kind of run down."

"Very handy - as in right across the street - from the Royal Gorge Route Railroad station and Veterans/Centennial Parks. Though a step back toward the old roadside motor hotels, the small room was a perfect landing spot for a one-night stay! Very reasonable, clean, and well maintained."
