We booked this place based on all the raving reviews and looked like a nice place to stay for our families spring break trip. Check in was typical. Upon entering the room however we were disappointed. The room was smaller than expected but doable. But the smell and overall cleanliness of the room was horrid. Whatever cleaner they use has an overwhelming scent that made the room smell like a floral scented garbage bag. There was dust on everything, walls, ceiling fan blades, trim, art work, bed frames, everything. Then there is the grim around every door handle/ door frames, light switches, anywhere that is touched regularly by guests. Possible urine stains on the wall next to the toilet. There was a lot of maintenance things as well, bathroom vanity is rotting, old drywall repairs that haven’t been painted, cabinet doors crooked or missing, kitchen sink faucet couldn’t be turned from the position it was in, rust on most metal surfaces, there was a back deck that we didn’t use other than for drying towels and swim suits because of uneven boards and exposed screw heads. The floor was also disgusting. Walk around any amount of time in your bare feet and they were almost black on the bottoms from the floor. Beach was quite and not too busy. Beach chairs need a good pressure washing. Some of the supplied beach item were in rough shape. We still had a good time and made do. If cleaned and maintained better this place would be really nice and we would give it a better rating.
