"The property was not as inviting as the pictures on Expedia site. Neighborhood was sketchy. The pool was more like a jacuzzi and definitely not inviting. However, the staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming. Also, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable."

"Viajero Santa Marta is easily the best Viajero in Colombia! I spent about two weeks here on three separate visits, so I know the place quite well. First and most importantly, it's amazing value for money. The quality of the building and the rooms and the facilities is excellent. The rooftop pool and bar are beautiful, and if the hostel is well-booked out, the atmosphere up there is usually great. My only complaint is that the kitchen is too small to accommodate all the guests who want to use it, plus the cleaning staff as well, who also use it. It also lacks some obvious things (like bowls). It could also do with a quiet room for coworking, but the cafe is fairly decent for that (it's just a little loud due to the music). Otherwise, great place!"
