"Rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We didn’t use the spa due to only staying one night and the extra charge as booked through Expedia but if book direct, it’s included. Breakfast was £16.95 and worth it. Great choice. Lovely outdoor seating area. Beds comfy. Bathrooms good. Quiet location. All was good."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"Ideal location for visiting Southampton, there are some nice pubs only a short drive away. The breakfast was good lots to choose from. I stayed in the quadruple room on the top floor. It was big, spacious but a bit hot so we had four fans running. Very good overall"

"Classic English accommodations. An updated old Inn, I'll guess 1700s, complete with neighborhood pub on ground floor. Ceilings are still low, hit my head, but learned quickly. I got room 3, a little noisy from staff congregation outside, get a diff one yourself. Old timey pull chain on toilet , hilarious. Cool little village too, with fish n chips shop, but the fish n chips in The Crown Inn restaurant were great. We stayed here purposely for the UK experience vs boring corporate hotel marble...

"Don't let the pictures fool you. The swimming pool looks like a big bath tub. The room I had was on the second floor. The carpet in the hallway needs repacling. What really turns me off is the location of the extra toilet rool. It's located at the foot near the toilet bowl. It looks dirty. I have to ask for fresh rolls instead. Anyways, it's not worth the price. But after all, we are in the UK where everything is expensive."

"Beautiful location on the Southampton waterfront and close to several museums, restaurants and shops. The hotel was very nice but the shower was not very hot and turned cold during a shower. The restaurant was nice but very expensive. Nearby restaurants were much better."

"this is a small boutique hotel that doesn’t really have any amenities that I’m aware of. However, because the hotel is a straightforward boutique and Restaurant, the staff really shines, and they were wonderful. We booked several rooms for a wedding party and it worked out super well. I saw only one real downside to the hotel and that is the number of steps required to get around, so if you are older or emo, this hotel could be very difficult for you as there are no lifts. "Very short taxi ride to the cruise terminals. Staff very helpful making sure you get to the correct terminal. Nice people. Close to the Duke of Wellington pub that had great fish and chips, history and people. So much fun."
