"The property is a little run down but clean. The staff was rude when we were trying to check in. My husband and kids were behind me checking in and were told they couldn’t be there and shooed them away and then when my family moved down the hallway to wait me for me they came and asked them to move again. But no recommendation of where we would wait."

"The room was clean and spacious. Although the hotel is a bit older, everything is well maintained. The staff is very helpful and give support very quickly. The buffet restaurant is excellent with a very large selection of food and desserts. The staff also take care of used plates vert quickly. There also is a a very nice view of Mt Fuji from their garden."

"Overall experience were good. Like the onsen, but bed is too hard for us as we nit use to very thin mattress. We have not very pleasure check out experience. The front desk called us three times for the 15 minutes late. Check out time is very stiff at 11:00am sharp. "

"This is a unique property and a total throw back to another time (the main house is from the 1890s). The traditional kaiseki was impeccable, the breakfast was delicious, and the property is gorgeous. Added bonus: hot spring water is piped to your room bath! We had a wonderful weekend hiking and exploring the area (loved the Open Air Museum), and we have already talked about going back on our next trip to Japan.
