Front desk staff are very helpful..
They even gave me discount when they were late in letting us check-in due to room are not ready.
We have stayed at this hotel many times and always enjoy the pools, the Copper Room, the scenery around Harrison Lake, the friendliness of the staff, the comfortable beds, and the relaxed atmosphere. We will be back!
Perfect getaway! My kids said it’s like the Cancun of BC—just without the all-inclusive. The hotel room was the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in, and everything felt fresh and well maintained. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back.
Staff super friendly. We got an upgrate which was super nice.Very clean room. Breakfast buffet a bit pricey for what was offered.

I’ve stayed here quite often with my family, but this was definitely the best time! Very friendly staff and very helpful and accommodating! Very cool old parts of the hotel. It is fairly clean and well maintained considering the age. Will definitely come here more often.
We stayed from Saturday to Sunday in July to celebrate my wife's birthday, and as always, the property didn't disappoint. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and we really appreciated the early check-in.
The atmosphere at the bar was fantastic—we were able to watch the England vs. Norway match with a great crowd while enjoying good food and drinks. We also had a great time relaxing in the pool.
Overall, we had a wonderful one-night stay and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We look forward to coming back again!
This was our second stay at this resort. Both times we have ended up in older rooms, and the age really showed this trip. The carpets were filthy, the shower was moldy, and the room in general was just in rough shape. The lounge staff were great, food prices were reasonable, and the hot springs pools are what you go for, and they were great. Just disappointing to end up in room in such poor condition.

Location is great. The facility itself it’s very old and in need of updating. I’m not sure what make it a “resort”, it doesn’t feel like other resorts I’ve been to. It’s a hotel with 4 pools and one hot tub. If we go to HHS again we’ll likely stay somewhere else. For the price the room was very outdated and the place wasn’t very clean.
We liked the outdoor setting of the pools.
The thing which was a disappointment was the luke warm ( 38'c) temperatures.
Other people were commenting how the pool temperature' could be warmer.
The Laired Hot Springs are hotter and the numerous Japanese Hotspring Hotels (38 - 42'c) we've been to. Was a decent weekend get away.
Also be prepared to pay as everything has a dollar figure added to it.

The grounds and hotspring pools are lovely and well maintained. In the main spa/indoor pool building the steam room wasn't working and the showers had nasty plastic shower curtains with cheap plastic rings kinda like was a college kid might by from the dollar store. $50 could be well invested there! We stayed in the "heritage" building. It looks like the rooms haven't been reno'd since the 80's. The bathrooms are pretty dated but perfectly fine and clean. Not one bit of the actual room furniture matched and it was all in bad shape. I'd go again but book a different room type.

The hotel is located in a wonderful area, and the town is great for families. However, the hotel rooms are outdated, and housekeeping could be improved. The hotel frequently runs out of pool towels, which can be frustrating for guests. In addition, the hallways are not cleaned daily, and it is common to see garbage left by guests remaining in the corridors for several days. While the location is excellent, there is significant room for improvement in the hotel's maintenance and cleanliness standards. We still enjoyed our stay and had a great time with our family. The location and overall atmosphere of the area made for a pleasant vacation experience.

Had to wait for towels in the pool area for 1.5 hrs.
Got bit by bugs.
Did not feel any benefits from the mineral pools. I just felt like a pool. Not as powerful as when they had the mineral pools 25 years ago.
Our room in the west wing was older, musty the toilet sounded like an airplane toilet when you flushed, very loud and the air conditioner made a lot of noise.
While the resort has made some upgrades to some rooms that we could see if we looked into rooms while there were being cleaned, others like ours had not been updated in years.
They did provide us with a discount after attending the front counter twice and speaking to 3 employees including a manager. At no time did may staff members disagree the room was not what you’d expect at $400 a night.
Overall I love the resort, the food and drinks in the Island bar were great, the hot pools are great and the location is beautiful.

Checkin felt like I was a second rate citizen. The gentleman said since you are an Expedia booking you are in our older heritage building. Directions to the room were very poor and had to come back for assistance. Elevator was so old we chose to use the stairs the rest of the time. As we are walking down the hall paint was peeling, trim was in rough condition and the smell was nasty, a mix of wet feet for 50 years and a very old senior building. Our room was clean and not too bad considering but windows were covered and no natural light or view. Lamp shades by bed were rickety and one kept falling off. The pools were great and location is beautiful!
I was pretty surprised at the condition of this property when we arrived. The front staff seemed uninterested in working, but were able to check us in with little issue. The elevator wasn't working for every floor which gave us pause before getting in. When we did get in to the room, it smelled AWFUL and there was so much hair all over the best and in the tub. We had no robes to wear down to the pool, but I did bring our own towels for the pool (I suggest you do the same if possible). There is very little sound proofing between the hall and the floors so we listened to our neighbors all night. This is not the hotels fault, but if you have small children or are sensitive to sound this might not be the best place for you. Our chain lock was broken and I was travelling alone with my child so I had to block the door to feel safe at night. I am not sure if I would stay here again based on this experience. The pool is nice, but with the issues listed above and for to cost every night, I am not sure it was worth it.
