"This is a modest hotel just out of the centre of Nuits-St-Georges which is perfect for a stopover when crossing France. The staff are extremely helpful - the receptionist spoke very good English and suggested an excellent restaurant for us - the room was clean and well set up, and the breakfast was good. "We chose the hotel on the basis of the photos of the old monastery and its cloisters, and it didn’t disappoint. An initial problem with our allocated accommodation was quickly and efficiently dealt with, and we were given a very pleasant two bedroomed apartment on the first floor (easily accessible by lift for anyone with limited mobility) with seating area, dining table and kitchenette. There was a large bathroom with walk-in shower and a separate loo, which was handy for four people sharing. Everything was immaculately clean. Our only quibble was a lack of anywhere to hang clothes, particularly as the rooms were big enough to accommodate at least a rail with hangers. The location of the hotel is excellent - just a stone’s throw from the Place des Cordeliers and within easy walking distance of the fantastic Place de la Libération and the palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. The breakfast, served in one of the vaulted rooms of the monastery, was really excellent. A generous, comprehensive selection of high quality food which set us up for the day."

"We stayed here for one night with our 2 year old, it seemed a little disorganised (for example we were asked to pay when we had prepaid the room) but the staff were very friendly. We stayed in an apartment onsite which seemed to be recently renovated, the furnishings etc were lovely but then oddly they left only one Nespresso pod and one tea bag for us which seemed a little odd. Otherwise easy and convenient enough"

"Bellevigne is a nice property in the middle of the Burgundy vineyards. It is an old merchant's house turned into a hotel. It is charming and well renovated. The room we stayed in was larger and nice. Downside was lack of air conditioning. We were lucky the temperatures were cooling down a bit but still it is a problem when hot. Breakfast is good but they were overwhelmed by the number of guests at the same time. Service is OK and staff at reception is friendly, but other staff is variable."
