Friendly welcome and a pleasant stay
Warm welcome from David who showed me to my room. A large double room; basic and quite dated, but clean and safe which as a solo female traveller is important to me. Restaurants can be busy at weekends so consider booking. Ospreys at Threave Castle must see. Red kite viewing at Bellymack Farm also essential. Loch Arthur farm shop and cafe great for lunch or coffee break.
