"Great location at Samara. We had booked a room with balcony looking out to the street not realizing it’s a busy street. We got upgraded to a bigger room with pool view without any request. We appreciated that very much as e were tired that day. The ac in the room worked excellent, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Parking is across the street. We only stayed one night so did not get the a chance to try the restaurant, which looked great but can’t actually rate as we decided to...

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"The suite was very spacious. The patio was large with a swing hammock and dining table. You can walk one block to the beach. We also had a cat visitor hang out by us. And a giant lizard by the pool. The pool was very nice. The property is quaint and small and perfect for a peaceful stay. And price was great! Wish we stayed longer but we wanted to try different properties in the area. This one is definitely our favorite in the area. "

"Do not be discouraged by the road to Rancho Humo, what lies at the end turned out to be a real gem. This property is nestled up against the central wetlands of Nicoya peninsula on the shore of the Tempisque river and is a definitive location for birdwatchers from all over. My wife and I are not birdwatchers but booked this based on its remote location and its high marks from other reviews. We also booked in offseason so fortunately for us we were the only guests and the staff was so great...

"A beautiful location, with lush landscaping and only a five minute walk to the beach. Many excellent restaurants very close by on Samara’s main street. We loved the variety of birds by the pool."
