Room could use a little TLC with things like a broken soap dish in the shower, but we are an active outdoor couple and don't need grand comfort. You are in the tropical jungle so expect bugs. "This a wonderful gem, tucked away in the mountains with wonderful views down to the ocean. The infinity pools have been thoughtfully located to take advantage of the scenery of the valley flowing to the sea. The location is wonderfully quiet and tranquil. There are some nice trails connected to the hotel as well. But the best part is the staff, who really welcome you and take care of you. I can't say enough about that, which includes the excellent food. Highly recommended."

Just a little polite advice regarding maintenance — keeping on top of small repairs and general freshening up would make a huge difference. Things such as repainting areas where needed, replacing missing wardrobe doors, and giving some rooms a light refresh would really help maintain the hotel’s charm and overall standard. "Room needs some work bed was shaking the closet and bathroom door couldn't close properly. There was no space for fiolded clothes just some hangers. And to note also if AC needs to be turned off when not in room it should be mention on the website. Bed also was poorley constructed.."

"The property is clean and well-maintained. However, the after-hours check-in process could be improved to make it smoother for guests arriving late or after hours. Additionally, the AC in the living room was not working, but it did work in all our bedrooms. Lastly, the shade umbrellas at the pool need maintenance. They are all broken in some way. The pool is on an exposed rooftop with no shade, so having functional working umbrellas would be a great improvement."
