"Great location if you’re planning a trip to Port Arthur - it’s next door. Our cabin was very clean apart from the crockery and cutlery which we had to wash. It was also quite cold. There’s no wifi in the cabins. They have portable hubs, we were told, but none were available when we arrived. The restaurant was shut on the night we stayed. We ordered 2 of their ready meals which were left in our fridge for our arrival and were excellent. "

"It was an easy quick trip from the airport arriving around 9pm and we left early the next morning to play golf at 7 Mlle Beach which was also close by. It was the perfect stop over. Clean, comfortable and cosy. "

"We booked a ground floor room as my wife has mobility issues and Chloe called me to say all was organised but when we booked in on the Saturday afternoon was told no ground rooms were available so my wife had to struggle up and down stairs all weekend. We were told when we checked in it was bad luck for us. Staff not very helpful or friendly so we decided not to get meals at the hotel "

"The Rivulet is located on busy Sandy Bay Road, which makes getting into and out of the property a litte tricky. It is conveniently located to the Salamanca Market, which we were able to walk to (30-40 minutes) and also to the Bruny Island boat tour pick-up location. Sandy Bay Road has lots of shops within easy walking distance (Coles and Woolworth). We especially enjoyed one of the bakery shops where we purchased meat pies and cherry tarts. "As seasoned travelers over decades, both within Australia and OS, we had high expectations for this 2-night stay which were not met, given the price point. This was not a cheap stay, but we were happy to pay for a different 'experience'. Nice area but! The obvious things included unlike what was advertised about "Free Wi-Fi. Available in the cottage" it didn't exist. We didn't even have mobile reception unless we walked to the 'Telstra pole' (their written advice in room) at next property where...

"This hoktel is in a fairly remote location with little around it in terms of accommodation or restaurants. That said, they do a decent job with food and drinks. Not great for vegetarian options, however. Also, no lift to the 2nd floor in the hotel, only stairs. But overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Lufra Beach Hotel. "
