"Starlight Chalet is a very nice, well maintained classic building with beautiful landscaping. The view is wonderful, especially from upstairs and from the gazebo. The food was very good (but perhaps a bit expensive). The beds were comfortable and the room/bathroom was clean and well-maintained. There is no AC, but the temperature at 3500' was much cooler than in the adjacent lowlands so AC was not essential. We went on several birding excursions and found lots of good birds. If you go,...

"I really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Also be aware if you get food from Gloria's est the food onsite you will be charged if you being the food back to the property. The staff is very nice and accommodating!"

"The owners were so kind and helpful. This is THE hidden treasure of Kingston. Bob Marley beach is walking distance and the rooftop patio was breathtaking. The AC in the rooms was perfect to cool off after a hot day. This hotel also has a bar and the pool is cute and deep enough for the kids to jump in. The rooms are very traditional Jamaican style/decor and VERY clean. The wifi was strong and overall this was a fabulous likkle spot. Mi soon come back"

"I live the S Hotel. The theme - 70s Jamaica and reggae - remind me of my childhood. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant on property is excellent, and the reason I keep coming back - the amazing Jamaica breakfast buffet. Plus the location is perfect for being able to conduct business."

"Centrally located and situated in close proximity to the Jamaica House and Gordon House, in a well manicured neighborhood of St Andrew parish. A very convenient spot that I can access anywhere easily within minutes instead of hours in traffic. Made friends easily with staff and the rapport gave me secrets around Kingston and food specialties I wouldn’t have known. Absolutely amazing experience."

"Good value for money, can tell it's an old building but maintained and refurbished very well. Close to everything in kingston. Love the complimentary infused water in the lobby. The lobby always has a pleasant smell on entry. Only complaint would be the quality of the room service food, would give a 3/5 there. Room can be a bit noisy depending on the entry and exit of other guests, but its mostly quiet."
