"This is my favorite place I’ve ever stayed. It’s a 300 year old Spanish hacienda. Beautiful. Well maintained grounds. Extremely helpful staff. Wonderful, daily breakfast included. "Lovely, easy, quiet stay for someone who speaks little Spanish and a quick night stay. Staff was eager to do their best to help when I didn’t understand. The breakfast is unlike any hotel breakfast in the states. Excellent! "

"We had a beautiful time at Cananvalle. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It is a place quite a bit outside Ibarra and without transport you have to rely on taxis to get around. Saying that the local taxis are cheap and safe. "
