"Our stay at Shalimar was wonderful!! We received a very warm friendly welcome! You could smell the cleanliness of this resort. The distance to the beach was AWESOME!! Quiet place that we'd DEFINITELY stay at again!!"

"The location was the best part of the stay. The price for the room was not in line with what you would expect. The owners of this motel charged for their rooms as if they were the same as some of the 5 star hotels and motels in the area. This motel should have only charged for half of what other nicer hotels/motels charged. Definitely overpriced for what you get. Would not stay here again ONLY because the price was too much per night."

"Manager at the hotel was very friendly and went out of her way to help with any needs. Room was newly updated and clean. Plenty of parking and the pool area had many lounge chairs and umbrellas."

"Outlet behind the TV is coming off the wall, afraid to plug anything for safety reasons, coffee maker tray was not clean, bathtub is peeling off, sink was clogged, towels have stains (not really clean) have to ask for more towels. Only good thing is the quite hours at nights and early mornings."

"Had a great stay there. Short walk to the beach and the pool is clean. Thursday night was customer appreciation night with and we had a great time. First time there, and we will be back."

"The place is ok. The AC was awesome. The pool is awesome. But I did not like being on the 3rd floor with no elevator. I did not know that and we are booked again in 9 days. On the 3rd floor again. We are retired so its not good to have to haul our stuff up to 3rd floor"

"Rooms were close to boardwalk. Parking options were great. Must request housekeeping 24 hrs in advance which we did not need. Also if you are a smoker, you cann9t smoke on the property, which was not a deal breaker for me, but my mom was not pleased by the nonsmoking on the balcony."
